Metaltex Netherlands is known for the brand Tomado, a Dutch company founded in 1923 by the van der Togt brothers in Dordrecht. What started in 1923 with the production of wallpaper hooks resulted in an extensive collection of household items made of steel wire; coasters, strainers, potato mashers and the famous shelves. In the mid-1980s, Tomado enters into a partnership with Metaltex. Tomado still provides products that make the household easier and more enjoyable.
