Metaltex heeft het SA8000<\/a> certificaat van Social Accountability International ontvangen voor haar fabriek in Canton (China).<\/p>\n

De Chinese fabriek<\/a>, die huishoudelijk draadwerk en kleine keukengerei produceert, is een van de eerste 100 ter wereld die dit certificaat heeft ontvangen.<\/p>\n

SA8000 is een standaard die is gebaseerd op de conventie van de ILO (Internationale Arbeidsorganisatie) en op andere conventies voor mensenrechten, waarin criteria en regels zijn vastgelegd met betrekking tot: kinderarbeid, dwangarbeid, gezondheid en veiligheid, vrijheid van vakvereniging en recht op collectieve onderhandelingen, discriminatie, werkrooster, salarisniveaus en organisatiesystemen binnen een bedrijf.<\/p>\n
